Dafna Ben-Yosef, Hebrew & Science Teacher

 
Dafna Ben-Yosef has worked at Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School since 2020, initially as a Hebrew teacher’s assistant, and currently is a full-time Hebrew teacher and 3rd-grade science teacher. Dafna's education includes a Bachelor’s and Master's in Environmental Science from the Hebrew University, a Ph.D. in Medical Science from the Technion Institute, and a recent Master’s of Arts in Bioethics from Ohio State University Faculty of Medicine. Before coming to Cleveland, Dafna worked in medical research, hospital labs, taught sciences and medicine at universities and colleges in Israel and Pittsburgh, and served as a Hebrew and Judaics teacher at a synagogue in Pittsburgh for 3 years. Dafna enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking and biking, and reading. She enjoys teaching Hebrew and sciences at Mandel while helping students enrich their knowledge, and grow both academically and personally.
