Nathalie Kayat, Early Childhood Teacher

Nathalie Kayat is originally from Brazil. She studied at Iavne, an Orthodox Jewish day school in São Paulo, and earned a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidade de Belas Artes in 2008. She worked on projects in urban planning, including the master plan and renovation of Colégio Bar Ilan, Rio de Janeiro. Nathalie served as a madrichá in Bnei Akiva and was president of Emuná Rio. She also studied in Israel and, after moving to the United States, deepened her learning in Art Therapy and Joyful Design.

During the pandemic and over the summers, she creates art-based experiences that invite children and adults to explore emotions and self-awareness through creativity, combining principles of joyful design and expressive arts.

Nathalie lives in Beachwood with her husband and their two children, David and Bianca, both proud Mandel alumni. Outside the classroom, she enjoys Pilates, dancing and exploring new places with her family.
